I have decided to start off the reading challenge even though it's a little late for me to join. Hope that's ok. Hi Nishita! This challenge is open enrollment, you can join at any time. Thanks for posting about the challenge on your blog. I read your review and noticed that you picked up Creation In Death which is book 30! I can't speak from experience of course, as I'm only on book 6 myself, but I think you got it right in your review in that you may be missing the subtle nuances in their relationship because you didn't get to know them and the other secondary characters in the previous 29 books.

Anyway, I hope you have fun with this series and I look forward to discussing the books with you. I'm assuming you are going to go back and start at book 1? I recommend that you do. Hi everyone! I randomly found this blog and can't wait to get started. This is one of my favorite series ever. I really need to hit up the library this weekend.

So many challenges. Hi Yesenia! Welcome to the challenge!! It's great to have you aboard and I look forward to reading and discussing these great books with you! I know I am sooooo late in this challenge, but I stumbled upon your challenge through another blog that had posted at Crazy-for-Books Friday Hop and I am just over joyed that I did!

I just started 1 while I've had these books in e-book form for about 7 mos now and thought how dumb I was for waiting.

You're not THAT late You have plenty of time to catch up. I'm looking forward to your thoughts on the series!

Not sure if there is a way to delete the old one. I realize I'm a little late in jumping in but, since this is a perpetual challenge, I thought it would be ok! I have heard nothing but good things about this series, and it has been on my TBR list. Thanks for hosting the challenge! Hi Darlene! I'm so sorry your comment slipped under my radar, but YES! This is an ongoing challenge and anyone can join at any time. We're so glad to have you! I post a monthly 'In Death' post usually the last day or two of the month.

I usually try to throw a general discussion question up to promote discussion among participants. Looking forward to your thoughts on the series!

It's a fun one! I'm going to jump in here a little late with Darlene. I own about half of the books in the series, but I haven't read any of them yet. This will be a good way to keep track now that I can get around to reading them! Welcome aboard, Cassandra! There are a few readers near the beginning of the series, so you're not alone. Maybe I can solicit some more newbies to make it more fun for everyone.

I'll try to get up a new post soon to sort of "re invite" people to join. I've got a busy weekend ahead, so it won't be right away. Thanks so much for joining! No go grab Naked in Death! I reread that one often Hi Aisha! I'm so glad you decided to join--hopefully it will be just the right incentive to get you back into Eve's world. Leave a comment! I love to hear what YOU think. I'll change it back as soon as I can. Thanks for understanding. I've had an idea to set up this reading challenge for a while now, but recently decided to put it into action when I realized that the latest In Death novel by author J.

Robb, Kindred In Death , was released the other day.

Kindred In Death is the 35th! Robb pen name. The In Death series is futuristic romantic suspense series that consistently delivers an interesting, quality murder mystery; plenty of danger, intrigue and action; futuristic forensic methodology; and most of all, a riveting look into the professional and personal life of NYPSD detective Eve Dallas and her enigmatic lover and eventual husband, Roarke, along with a colorful cast of secondary characters.

If I did my research correctly, there are now 35 In Death stories published full length novels and 5 novellas, with a 6th novella expected later this month. Clearly, Ms. Robb is doing something right as she continues to write these stories and readers continue buying, reading, and loving her work. You'd think I should be able to read these stories at least as fast as Ms.

Robb can write them, but it appears I fall even further behind with each new In Death release. So to help remedy my own state of remiss, perhaps help motivate other readers who are similarly way behind in this series or to inspire readers to even start this series in the first place, I've decided to create an In Death Reading Challenge. I think this challenge may even be fun for readers who are already caught up in their In Death reading as they either revisit past books or simply enjoy watching the rest of us fall for this books for the first time. Keep in mind that many, many libraries have the In Death series on their shelves, so you may not need to buy them if you don't want to or can't afford to.

In other words, there's no excuse not to try one just one In Death book. Come on! You know you want to!
